Cade Ruotolo, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion, is gearing up for his first mixed martial arts fight against Blake Cooper on June 7th at ONE 167 event at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

The fight confirmation was announced by ONE Championship officials to MMA Fighting.

Ruotolo, who started learning Jiu-Jitsu with his twin brother Ty when they were just three years old, created history in 2022 by becoming the youngest fighter, at 19, to clinch a gold medal at the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championships. In a showdown with grappler Andre Galvao, Ruotolo secured victory in all four matches through submissions, ultimately winning the gold medal in the 77kg weight category.

As a member of the ONE roster, the now 21-year-old Ruotolo holds the title of a four-time defending grappling champion, boasting victories against numerous Sambo World Champions like Uari Kurjiev and Mateusz Gabriel, along with two wins against Tommy Langaker.

Ruotolo had expressed his intentions to transition to MMA in early 2023, and the date for his debut has been officially set.

He will be part of the same event where the current ONE Atomweight Champion Stamp Fairtex is scheduled to defend her title against Dennis Zamboanga.
