Many fans think Canelo Alvarez’s boxing skills might be diminishing. Even though he’s just 33 years old, some believe the Mexican star has struggled with tough opponents lately. The fact that Canelo hasn’t scored a knockout win since beating Caleb Plant almost three years ago has fueled speculation about his form. Nonetheless, Canelo is still hailed as one of the sport’s all-time greats. Can he prevail against someone like Munguia?

In my view, Canelo hasn’t regressed to the point where Munguia can consistently outshine him. Despite recent setbacks, Canelo had an impressive stretch from 2019 to 2022, besting top rivals such as Daniel Jacobs, Sergey Kovalev, Billy Joe Saunders, and Caleb Plant. This speaks volumes about his legendary status in boxing.

It’s worth noting that Canelo’s decline differs from most boxers, given his unwavering professionalism and dedication to his craft. While Munguia may hold certain advantages like height and reach, Canelo’s experience and skill make him the frontrunner in this super middleweight title bout. I foresee Canelo winning by stoppage in the tenth round.
