Kevin Nash, a WWE Hall of Famer, recently gave his thoughts on the idea of Cody Rhodes turning heel, expressing his belief that it might not be a wise decision. Despite Rhodes’ popularity as a WWE Superstar and his successful tenure as the Undisputed WWE Champion, fans have been speculating about the potential for him to take on a villainous role once more.

During an episode of the “Kliq This” podcast, Nash suggested that at present, Rhodes is too well-liked and brings in significant revenue for WWE, making it impractical to turn him into a heel character. Nash highlighted Rhodes’ strong work ethic and success with merchandise sales, indicating that it would be beneficial for him to continue portraying a heroic character within the company.

While there were indications that Rhodes might have been transitioning to a heel persona in his final months with AEW before his departure in early 2022, he clarified that he was merely portraying a heel character during that period. Despite facing some fan backlash and even having his weight belt thrown back at him, Rhodes’ subtle hints at a potential heel turn did not have the intended impact.

Nash appears to believe that Rhodes is best suited as a face (good guy) for now, with the possibility of a heel turn down the line if the right storyline and opponent arise.
