Ahead of WWE Backlash 2024, Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion, sat down with X Marketing’s Head of Content, Brett Weitz, to talk about his journey in the “wrestling space” over the years. Rhodes shared how taking risks and adapting has helped him grow as a wrestler.

Rhodes mentioned, “I’ve explored different paths in the wrestling space in my career. Through trial and error, I’ve discovered the best version of myself as a wrestler and an athlete. Failure has been a great teacher for me.”
He attributed his growth to experiences in various promotions like WWE and AEW, as well as the continuous support from fans since his return to WWE.
Rhodes acknowledged the role of his team and fans in his success, stating, “I owe my WWE Championship not just to myself but to the people around me, especially the fans. Their unwavering support is invaluable.”

In a recent turn of events, Rhodes faced The Rock leading up to WrestleMania, which sparked immense fan support for his match against Roman Reigns. The online and live fan response was overwhelming.
Reflecting on the situation, Rhodes explained, “It wasn’t about disliking The Rock; it was about giving closure to a storyline.”
