Adam Copeland, also known as the AEW TNT Champion, shared insights on the challenges he faced in WWE.
In a recent interview on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Adam Copeland opened up about his desire to involve Gangrel in his WrestleMania 38 entrance. Despite his attempts, Copeland faced resistance from WWE officials who rejected the idea.
Even though he pushed for it, Copeland revealed, “I tried, and I just got shut down. Every person shut it down.” He mentioned that the WWE management at the time believed that the inclusion of Gangrel would not resonate with the audience.
Looking back on the situation, Copeland stressed the significance of acknowledging wrestling history and rewarding fans for their dedication. He highlighted memorable collaborations like his entrance with Matt Cardona as examples of connecting past and present in wrestling.
In the end, Copeland recognized that certain battles, like including Gangrel in his entrance, were not worth pursuing. He accepted the constraints of not having complete control over creative decisions in his performances.
