This led to Hardy’s dismissal followed by a rehiring that sparked a heated rivalry with Edge, culminating in three matches, one of which was a cage match in 2005 where Hardy emerged victorious over Copeland with a leg drop from the top of the cage.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Copeland expressed his confidence in Hardy’s ability to execute the move effectively, noting that such maneuvers are typically more challenging for the wrestler performing them.
Regarding their reconciliation, Copeland indicated that post their feud, they quickly realized they still had the same chemistry and personalities, enabling them to move on from their past disagreements.
