Derrick Lewis has always had a talent for humor, and when asked about the potential of crossing over to WWE, he responded in a light-hearted manner.
‘The Black Beast’ secured a victory last night in St. Louis against Rodrigo Nascimento at the Enterprise Center. During the break between the second and third rounds, Lewis’ coach advised him to go back to his strength of knocking out opponents. Without hesitation, Lewis acted on the advice and finished Nascimento in less than a minute into the third round.
Now holding a 2-3 record in his last five fights, Lewis is considering a move to WWE as he nears the end of his UFC career. When discussing his potential finishing move and attire in WWE, Derrick Lewis was forthcoming.

“Um, it’s probably,” Lewis started. “You remember Goldust? Probably something like that.” With a smile, he hinted his genuine interest in the concept.
“You know, as long as I get to paint my face,” Derrick Lewis added. “People really aren’t gonna recognize me. I’ll be a whole different character out there.”
When asked if he was willing to fully embrace the wrestling gear and persona, Lewis enthusiastically nodded with a grin. “I’ll go all in and add a bit of sass to it,” he mentioned.
Lewis wouldn’t be the first to make the transition from MMA to WWE, and with both organizations sharing the same ownership, the idea is more likely. With his charm, ‘The Black Beast’ could make a captivating wrestler, and it appears that he envisions a humorous and unique character for himself.
