Two rising flyweights, Tracy Cortez and Miranda Maverick, are set to go head-to-head this summer.
The showdown is scheduled for a UFC Fight Night on July 20 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Cortez holds a record of 11-1 in MMA, with an undefeated 5-0 record in the UFC, while Maverick boasts a 13-5 MMA record, with 6 wins and 3 losses in the UFC.
The matchup was confirmed following an announcement on Maverick’s Instagram account on Monday night.
Cortez, aged 30, is currently on an impressive 11-fight win streak, including recent victories over top competitors in the UFC. Maverick, 26, has secured wins in four of her last five fights, with notable victories over Priscila Cachoeira and Andrea Lee.
