Some people might consider Thursday’s announcement as an early gift if they’re not fans of Greg Hardy.
Greg Hardy, a former UFC heavyweight and former NFL All-Pro defensive end, was knocked out and slumped into the ropes after a fight against Patrick Mailata from Samoa at a Team Combat League event.

After entering the UFC in January 2019 and having his final fight in March 2022, Hardy has continued his participation in combat sports post UFC. Apart from his matches in Team Combat League, where he holds a 3-0 record as a boxer, he also took on bareknuckle boxing in February 2023, ending in the second round at BKFC: Knucklemania 3.
Prior to his foray into combat sports, Hardy was embroiled in controversy during his NFL career, facing allegations of domestic violence and subsequent suspension.
