Ciryl Gane, a former interim UFC heavyweight champion, recently faced off against a smaller opponent at the Ares Fighting Championship 22 event in Paris. Despite his reputation for strength, Gane was unable to knock down his challenger with a series of forceful body shots. In a widely circulated video, Gane can be seen landing three aggressive blows to his opponent’s body, yet the recipient shows no sign of being affected and even shares a light-hearted moment with Gane afterwards.

Although Gane was offered an opportunity to compete for the interim heavyweight title at UFC 304, he is currently focusing on a movie project. Despite his achievements, fans have been vocal in their criticism of Gane’s perceived lack of power, humorously describing his punches as “pillow hands.” While Gane’s next fight date is uncertain, there is speculation that he may return to the Octagon when the UFC visits Paris on September 28, giving him the chance to showcase his skills once more in his homeland.
