Following his impressive knockout win at UFC on ABC 6, Volkan Oezdemir is looking to face two top contenders. Oezdemir achieved a first-round knockout against Johnny Walker in the opening fight of the main card at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Oezdemir, who has won three of his last four fights, expressed interest in fighting Jamahal Hill and Jan Blachowicz during his post-fight interview.

“I aim to move up the rankings and dominate the division,” Oezdemir told reporters during the post-fight press conference. “Blachowicz would be a significant fight for the European title, and that’s a fight I am eager for. Additionally, I want to face Jamahal Hill. ‘No Time’ is back, and I’m ready to display my skills.”

However, both Hill and Blachowicz are currently recovering from injuries, casting doubt on the possibility of Oezdemir securing these matchups soon, especially as he targets a comeback in Paris in September.

“Both fighters are sidelined due to injuries at the moment, so it’s uncertain what will transpire,” Oezdemir explained. “My sights are on a fight in Paris, and I’m hopeful for a swift return. Following my wedding in three weeks, I’ll celebrate and then shift my focus to the upcoming Paris match.”
