UFC 303 fighters were pleasantly surprised when Dana White, the CEO of UFC, decided to raise the usual bonus amount in celebration of UFC 300 scheduled for April 2024. The standard $50,000 bonus was amplified to $300,000, sparking enthusiasm among the fighters. At the pre-fight press conference held on June 27, 2024, leading Featherweight contender Brian Ortega made a request for $303,000 in bonuses, eventually compromising on two $50,000 Fight of the Night bonuses after White’s approval. Ortega, popularly known as “T-City,” is poised to secure a bonus in his upcoming bout against Diego Lopes, given his remarkable track record of receiving eight Performance or Fight of the Night bonuses throughout his UFC career.

The much-anticipated UFC 303 event is slated to happen at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 29, 2024. The headline fight will see a rematch between Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and former champion Jiri Prochazka, as Conor McGregor is out of action due to a broken pinky toe. In the co-main event, Brian Ortega will go head to head with the up-and-coming Featherweight talent Diego Lopes. The PPV main card for the event will also showcase thrilling matchups like Anthony Smith vs. Roman Dolidze and Ian Garry vs. Michael “Venom” Page. The event is packed with action and is slated to kick off at 6 p.m. ET for the prelims, with the PPV main card set to start at 10 p.m. ET.
