Khamzat Chimaev has made a transition from Dubai to Chechnya after facing health challenges during his time in the desert. Unfortunately, his health issues forced him to miss the chance to be the headline fighter at the first UFC event in Saudi Arabia. While talks suggest he might compete in a forthcoming pay-per-view event in Abu Dhabi in October, the key question is whether he is fit enough to enter the ring.

In a recent interview held near Lake Kezenoyam with Aslanbek Badaev, Chimaev shared his positive outlook on his comeback. He mentioned seeking advice from different coaches who recommended spending three weeks in the mountains for recovery. He disclosed that he had been struggling with a lung infection and other health setbacks but now believes he is on the road to improvement.

Chimaev linked his illness to the climate in the Middle East, pointing out the lack of fresh air in cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai as potential contributing factors to his health issues. He acknowledged that his extended stays in these regions may have impacted his well-being.

Having been previously summoned to Chechnya for rehabilitation by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Chimaev is once again benefiting from top-notch medical attention in the Caucasus area as part of his recovery process.

Despite facing obstacles, Chimaev is now concentrating on returning to the gym and gearing up for his next match. He mentioned completing his antibiotics course and slowly reintegrating into training. While he is considering the possibility of fighting in Abu Dhabi, he stressed the importance of a gradual approach and ensuring he is fully ready for his comeback to the octagon.
