Jake Paul is keeping his winning streak alive by taking on former MMA fighters in boxing matches, but this trend has left fans feeling let down. With the nickname “The Problem Child,” Paul has been making a name for himself in combat sports by defeating MMA veterans such as Tyron Woodley (twice), Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and most recently, Mike Perry. Originally set to fight the legendary Mike Tyson, health issues sidelined Tyson, leading to Perry taking his place. Despite giving his all, Perry couldn’t overcome Paul and was defeated by a sixth-round TKO. Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has not held back in his criticism of Paul, suggesting that a fighter with comparable size, strength, and experience could easily outmatch him. Paul’s tenth win in his eleven-fight career has sparked talk about potential future matchups, including a challenge to UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. McGregor, who recently became a shareholder in Perry’s BKB promotion, supported Bisping’s views, raising concerns about Paul’s choice of opponents and even hinting at potential PED use. Despite his accomplishments, Paul faced his only defeat in a split decision loss to boxer Tommy Fury. The ongoing debates concerning the quality of Paul’s opponents and his challenges to notable fighters like Pereira and Tyson continue to divide opinions in the combat sports community.
