Otto Wallin, a former contender for a world title, made a comeback to the boxing ring on Friday evening to battle Onoriode Ehwarieme in an eight-round contest in the heavyweight division. The event unfolded at the Tropicana Atlantic City and was organized by Boxing Insider, with live coverage on the DAZN streaming platform.

In the initial round, an impactful straight left punch from the left-handed Wallin floored Ehwarieme. Even though Ehwarieme managed to rise, the referee opted to halt the fight to prevent further injury. Wallin, the clear favorite, achieved a resounding victory swiftly.

Following the bout, Wallin commented, “I just try to go out there, not be reckless. Coming back from a loss to Anthony Joshua and getting a knockout in the first round always feels good.”

“I’m still one of the top guys,” he stated, “and I believe I demonstrated it tonight.”
