Two experienced UFC fighters, Ovince Saint Preux and Ryan Spann, will clash on September 7 in a light heavyweight match at UFC Vegas 97. This matchup was confirmed by MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin.

Saint Preux, a seasoned fighter who has previously contended for the UFC interim light heavyweight title, is making his return to the 205-pound weight class after competing in the heavyweight division with varying success. The 41-year-old fighter has secured notable victories against Alonzo Menifield, Corey Anderson, and Nikita Krylov.

Spann, on the other hand, is aiming to recover from three consecutive losses. Since his transition to the UFC from the Contender Series, the 32-year-old has claimed seven wins in his 12 fights within the promotion, including wins over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Dominick Reyes, and Ion Cutelaba.

The fight is set to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, with a welterweight bout between Gilbert Burns and Sean Brady headlining the event.
