“Daddy Magic” Matt Menard has joined the AEW broadcast team as the full-time color commentator for “AEW Rampage.” Initially starting on “AEW Dark: Elevation,” he has now wholeheartedly embraced his new role, which he inherited from Chris Jericho.

Jericho had been providing commentary for “Rampage” since its inception in 2021. In a recent episode of the “AEW Unrestricted” podcast, Menard shared the valuable advice Jericho gave him.

Menard quoted Jericho, saying, “Just be yourself, have fun.” He described this as some of the best advice he has ever received, emphasizing that enjoying oneself translates to an enjoyable experience for the audience. Menard added, “Even if you make a mistake or mispronounce something, as long as your energy conveys the joy you’re having, it will resonate with viewers at home.”

During his time in the Jericho Appreciation Society, Menard acquired the moniker “Daddy Magic” from Jericho. Reflecting on this, he expressed gratitude to Chris for selecting them for that role, noting that it transformed his life.
