Aleksandre Topuria is set to make his UFC debut alongside his brother Ilia Topuria, according to MMA Fighting. The 28-year-old bantamweight fighter announced the news on social media.
Although no specific date or opponent has been announced for Topuria’s first UFC fight yet, he is ready to showcase his talent in the Octagon. With an impressive record of five wins, all secured within the first round, he has two victories by submission and three by knockout.
His only defeat dates back to 2015, when he lost by TKO in a fight that went beyond the first round. After a hiatus from MMA, Topuria made a successful return in 2021 with a victory.
Meanwhile, Ilia Topuria, the UFC featherweight champion, is gearing up to defend his title against Max Holloway on Oct. 26 in Abu Dhabi. This upcoming match will mark his first title defense since his last bout in February.
