“[Winning] the match was very authentic and emotional for me because it was a genuine moment,” McIntyre expressed. “When I held that title and heard the chants of ‘You deserve it’ from the crowd, it was truly amazing.”

McIntyre’s first world title victory occurred in an empty WWE Performance Center due to the COVID-19 pandemic. His second win against Randy Orton at the WWE ThunderDome had virtual fans, but it was at WrestleMania 40 that he celebrated his title win with a live audience.

Regrettably, McIntyre’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign was short-lived as Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase shortly after.
