Olympic champion Imane Khelif is taking legal action against well-known personalities like Elon Musk, J.K. Rowling, and Donald Trump for their alleged involvement in cyberbullying. Khelif, who has been targeted for her gender despite being a woman and not identifying as transgender or intersex, has filed a criminal complaint in Paris for “cyberbullying.” The attacks primarily occurred on the social media platform X, which has turned into a hotspot for hate speech and false information since Musk removed certain protections. J.K. Rowling accused Khelif of pretending to be a man, leading to more hate, while Musk and Trump made comments that fueled the situation. The lawsuit names X as the defendant, allowing for an investigation into all parties involved, even those who used fake names to spread hateful messages. WWE Superstar Logan Paul was also named in the lawsuit for describing Khelif’s victory as “malicious.” Despite the adversity she faced, Khelif triumphed in her field and referred to her critics as the “enemies of success.” She affirmed her identity as a woman and took pride in her accomplishments despite the baseless attacks against her.
