Swerve Strickland has signed a new contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The discussions for his contract began while he was the AEW World Champion. The terms of the new deal suggest that it is a multi-year agreement, which will see him staying with AEW at least until 2028, although the exact duration has not been officially confirmed.
Reports indicate that Swerve Strickland’s new contract is regarded as one of the most significant deals in AEW’s history. AEW management has been impressed with his performances and he is anticipated to continue being a top star in the promotion for the duration of his contract.
Initially, Swerve Strickland joined AEW in March 2022 under a three-year contract. He clinched the AEW World Championship by defeating Samoa Joe at AEW Dynasty, but later lost the title to Bryan Danielson at AEW All In.
