Despite Tyson’s assurance of his preparedness, Hearn deems the fight to be a risky and unnecessary venture for the veteran boxer.
Hearn, who delved into the world of influencer boxing with his promotion of a bout between Logan Paul and YouTube sensation KSI, has made it clear that he has no intention of further involvement in this realm. With significant fights on the horizon such as Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga, Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois, and Usyk vs. Fury 2, Hearn feels there is no need to continue pursuing influencer boxing.
Expressing his astonishment, Hearn has raised doubts about the choice for Tyson to step back into the ring and face Jake Paul, highlighting Tyson’s age and the enduring impact of his past in boxing. He contends that the matchup is not in Tyson’s best interest and presents needless risks.
