Nineteen-year-old bantamweight rising star Raul Rosas Jr., who gained recognition on Dana White’s “Contender Series” in late 2022 as a minor, aspires to surpass Jon Jones as the youngest UFC champion in history. In an interview with ESPN MMA, Rosas Jr. expressed his desire to achieve his dream of becoming the youngest UFC champion, defending the title a few times, and eventually retiring by the age of 25 to spend time with family and pursue other interests.
Rosas Jr. is set to compete against Aoriqileng on the UFC 306 “Prelims” card this Saturday night at The Sphere in Las Vegas, aiming for his fourth win in the promotion with four finishes. A victory could potentially secure a matchup with a Top 15 bantamweight in early 2025.
The UFC 306 pay-per-view event on September 14, 2024, coinciding with Riyadh Season, will feature a main event featuring bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley facing top contender Merab Dvalishvili. Additionally, the co-headliner for the championship will showcase Flyweight titleholder Alexa Grasso against Valentina Shevchenko. Exciting matchups on the card include Brian Ortega vs. Diego Lopes and more.
The Prelims card is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. ET, with the PPV main card beginning at 10 p.m. ET. MMAmania.com will provide live coverage of the entire UFC 306 fight card. Stay tuned for the action from “Sin City”!
