Joseph Creer feels comfortable competing in the BKFC light-heavyweight division.

Despite having fought four times in BKFC, two of those fights were in the cruiserweight class (205 pounds), which is above his preferred weight. While Creer was satisfied with his performances in those matches, he acknowledges that 185 pounds is where he feels most capable and prepared.

“When competing at 205 pounds, I often face opponents who are much heavier than me, which can affect the outcome of the fight,” Creer explains.

“At 205 pounds, I feel undersized. However, making weight at 185 pounds isn’t too difficult for me, so I believe this is where I can showcase my best performance.”

“This weight class feels like my true calling.”

Creer is gearing up for his upcoming fight this Friday at BKFC 69. Facing David Simpson at the Gas South Arena in Atlanta, the Columbus, Georgia fighter will look to entertain fans who can catch the action live on The BKFC App.

As a U.S. Army veteran, Creer is fully focused on his impending bout with Simpson but visualizes himself as the BKFC World Light-Heavyweight Champion every day.

“If I get the opportunity to compete for the title next year, I envision myself wearing that championship belt by 2025.”
