Belal Muhammad’s security snub was caught on camera at UFC 310. On Saturday night, the welterweight champion was sitting in the front row to watch Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Garry battle for the chance to fight him next during the co-main event of Dana White’s final pay-per-view show of the year.
After he edged out a decision victory, Rakhmonov invited ‘Remember The Name’ into the UFC Octagon for a face-off ahead of their clash in 2025. However, things went embarrassingly wrong when the security team mistook him for an overexcited fan.
Someone sitting close to Belal Muhammad caught the whole thing on camera. Footage of security stopping him from entering the Octagon has since gone viral on social media. It shows Muhammad explaining who he is and pointing out he had just been invited into the cage. Joe Rogan can also be heard making things worse by saying: ‘Security doesn’t know he’s the champ’. After some negotiating, Muhammad was allowed to enter the Octagon for his staredown with Rakhmonov. However, he’s since been the butt of jokes from fans and some of his UFC rivals, who are reveling in the cringeworthy viral moment.
Conor McGregor has made his dislike of Belal Muhammad very clear throughout 2024. The Irishman was one of the first people to poke fun at the champion’s UFC 310 security snub. “The security doesn’t know he’s the champ, look at the state of this c. The security doesn’t know he’s the champ? I’m not surprised motherfer, he is an ahole that thing,” McGregor said in a since-deleted X voice note. “Shut your mouth you little dope, you barely got into the ring, they don’t even know you were the champ you thick. ‘Who the f** is that guy’ the security said! Ah stop man, two a wipes, yeah.” He captioned the message: “2 bums.”
