WWE RAW Results (12/9/2024):
The show opens up with Joe Tessitore welcoming us, while we get a drone shot of the host city. We then see the arrivals of Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Rhea Ripley, The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez, WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio), Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. Kingston and Woods get the cold shoulder from production crew members. Kingston then tries to fist bump with Alpha Academy, but they and Natalya also give them the cold shoulder.
Imperium’s WWE World Heavyweight Champion “The Ring General” GUNTHER is then introduced by ring announcer Lilian Garcia and GUNTHER makes his way down to the ring to address the WWE Universe, while video footage is shown of Finn Bálor attacking GUNTHER at last week’s show to set up their match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
GUNTHER starts off by saying Bálor made a mistake and now has his undivided attention. GUNTHER then says he guarantees that Saturday Night’s Main Event will not end up like Survivor Series did for him. The Judgment Day’s music then hits and Finn Bálor makes his way out with Dominik Mysterio, Carlito, and JD McDonagh. Bálor says GUNTHER could have given him the title shot he deserved, but instead he gave it to someone undeserving in Dominik. Bálor then agrees that Saturday Night’s Main Event won’t be like Survivor Series and then takes credit for GUNTHER retaining the title at Survivor Series. Bálor then says GUNTHER will lose the title on Saturday because of him. GUNTHER responds by telling Bálor that he didn’t earn his title shot, and he proceeds to criticize Bálor’s past choices. This confrontation leads to a chaotic brawl involving Damian Priest, who enters the scene, and it culminates with an assault by The Judgment Day, who stands tall as Bálor holds up the titles.
The Final Testament and The Miz are then shown walking backstage. We then get a graphic listing the RAW debut on Netflix on January 6.
Joe Tessitore then hypes Jesse Ventura appearing on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
We then head to the back, where RAW General Manager Adam Pearce informs Finn Bálor and the other Judgment Day members that the World Heavyweight Championship Match on Saturday Night’s Main Event has now changed. Pearce announces that it will be GUNTHER vs. Finn Bálor vs. Damian Priest in a Triple Threat Match. Pearce also books Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh vs. The Viking Raiders for the WWE World Tag Team Titles for next week’s RAW and says the other members of The Judgment Day are banned from ringside. After Pearce leaves, Liv Morgan mockingly tells Finn Bálor to relax because he has everything under control. Morgan then asks if he has any advice for her and Raquel Rodriguez heading into their matches. Bálor then tells her he will get back to her on that.
The Final Testament and The Miz then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and The Wyatt Sicks follow.
8-Man Tag Team Match: The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy) vs. The Miz and The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar)
The match starts off with The Wyatts storming the ring and clearing it. Uncle Howdy then has Karrion Kross in a Sister Abigail, but gets pulled to the outside by The Miz. The Final Testament is in control and Joe Gacy gets hit with a double-team move by AOP. Rezar taunts the Wyatts, dragging Gacy to his feet and into the corner. Gacy fights back with a boot but struggles to tag in. Eventually, Erick Rowan clears the ring, executing spectacular moves and showing dominance. However, tensions rise with interference from Scarlett and the appearance of Nikki Cross. This leads to chaotic exchanges and diversions, allowing Karrion Kross to capitalize in the end with The Final Prayer, sealing the win for The Miz and The Final Testament.

We then see CM Punk in a sit-down interview with Jackie Redmond. Redmond asks Punk about the favor that Paul Heyman owes him. Punk says he and Heyman go way back and the favor is just between the two of them. Redmond then asks Punk about Seth Rollins. Punk says he doesn’t hide from fights and expresses confusion over Rollins’ hatred towards him. Punk then narrates their past, explaining how he trained a young Rollins and offers his perspective on their current friction, suggesting a return to the wrestling scene as the main player. Redmond concludes the interview, thanking Punk for his honesty.
We then see The RAW on Netflix graphic flash on the screen.
We then get a video package recapping Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan getting the better of Rhea Ripley last week and ramming her eye into the edge of the broadcast table.
Dakota Kai then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Liv Morgan follows. Joe Tessitore hypes Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s World Championship on SNME this Saturday.
Non-Title Match: The Judgment Day’s WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan vs. Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai
The match starts off with Dakota Kai nearly securing an early pin before Liv Morgan sends Kai over the top. Morgan controls the match, displaying skillful maneuvers, until Pure Fusion Collective’s entrance shifts the dynamics. The match continues with rapid exchanges, showcasing the athleticism and resilience of both women. Dakota Kai offers significant offense, but Morgan withstands, ultimately sealing her victory with the Ob-LIV-ion.

After the match, Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark attack Kai until IYO SKY and Kairi Sane intervene, causing chaos in the ring. Morgan seizes the moment to deliver another Ob-LIV-ion on SKY, standing victorious as commentary hypes their upcoming match on SNME.
We then get a video promo from Drew McIntyre. McIntyre reflects on his brutal match experiences, the effects on his recovery, and his time away in Scotland. He shares his motivations that led to his return, emphasizing his determination to make significant changes in WWE, rectifying past decisions and influences.
Commentary then speaks at their desk. Tessitore says Jey Uso is not medically cleared to compete on tonight’s show due to the attack by McIntyre last week.
Seth Rollins is then shown walking backstage.
We then get a drone shot of the host venue, while Joe Tessitore mentions legendary NFL running back Barry Sanders and Mr. Beast are Wichita natives.
We then get a video package recapping last week’s New Day 10th anniversary segment that saw Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turn on Big E.
Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes is then shown exiting RAW General Manager Adam Pearce’s office with Pearce, while Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods show up. Rhodes tells them that they should both be ashamed of themselves.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins then makes his way down to the ring to address the WWE Universe. Rollins candidly addresses the WWE audience, confronting and debunking CM Punk’s previous statements. He shares his personal and professional history with Punk, explaining the reasons behind his disdain and stating how he surpassed Punk’s accolades. Rollins’ passionate narrative is interrupted by a "CM Punk" chant, underscoring his complex relationship with fans. The tension culminates with the appearance of Sami Zayn, announcing a future match with Drew McIntyre, set to address forthcoming conflicts.
Sami Zayn then makes his way down to the ring. A “Sami” chant breaks out. Rollins then tells Zayn they will fight again if Zayn is there to defend Punk. Rollins then says he doesn’t want to hear it and doesn’t have time for it. Zayn then says they both said things last week and they ended up fighting in the ring. Zayn explains that it’s natural given their longstanding familiarity but clarifies his initial assumptions about Rollins. Rollins expresses gratitude for Zayn’s comments and advises him to similarly address his issues with McIntyre. Tensions escalate, leading to another brawl between Zayn and McIntyre, hyping the excitement for their upcoming match.

We then get an ad for tomorrow’s NXT hyping Wes Lee vs. Je’Von Evans.
Zelina Vega then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night, while Ivy Nile is already in the ring. Lyra Valkyria then makes her way down to the ring last.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament First Round Triple Threat Match: Lyra Valkyria vs. LWO’s Zelina Vega vs. American Made’s Ivy Nile
The match starts off with Zelina Vega dropkicking Ivy Nile out of the ring. Lyra Valkyria then attempts a roll-up on Vega. The match delivers intense back-and-forth action, with each competitor showcasing their unique strengths. Despite fierce competition and near falls, Lyra Valkyria stands out, ultimately triumphing with an impressive display and securing advancement in the tournament.

After the match, the updated brackets show that Valkyria will face the winner of the Alba Fyre vs. Kairi Sane vs. Natalya match in the next round.
Rhea Ripley is then shown warming up backstage when Damian Priest shows up. Priest then tells Ripley “Eradicate.”
We then get video footage of Jey Uso and Sami Zayn presenting the MVP of the Big 12 Championship football game with a replica title belt.
We then head to the back, where Cathy Kelley asks Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods why they berated Big E. Kingston and Woods feel the question lacks bias, prompting them to address the people directly. As they make their way observed by the camera, the audience lets out disapproving reactions. However, Kingston and Woods remain undeterred, exiting amidst the negative chants.
Commentary then runs through the lineup for Saturday Night’s Main Event as Rhea Ripley makes her way down to the ring for the main event of the night.

Raquel Rodriguez then makes her way out and stands on the stage. Ripley then runs up and fights with Rodriguez into the crowd. Both women eventually make it to the ring and the referee calls for the bell to start the match.
Anything Goes Match: “The Eradicator” Rhea Ripley vs. The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez
The match starts off with Rhea Ripley aggressively attacking Raquel Rodriguez with a kendo stick. Their fierce exchange spills across the arena, incorporating various weapons and strategic maneuvers. As both women endure an intense battle, surprise interferences, particularly from Liv Morgan, add chaos to the contest. Despite the hurdles, Rhea Ripley demonstrates her resilience and secures victory, asserting her dominance with a decisive move.
