Dana White Wants Some Hardware for UFC Production Team
For years, Dana White has praised the UFC’s production team, consistently expressing his belief that they are the best in sports. He feels UFC 306, held inside the Sphere, further reinforced this opinion and made a strong case for deserving awards. During the post-fight press conference for UFC Tampa, he shared his thoughts with reporters.
“When you see what we did at the Sphere it’s just like, I don’t know if that will ever be done again,” White stated. “We spent over $20 million on it, and it was a one of one, and it was a fcking amazing night. If my production team doesn’t win every fcking award that exists in production, all the awards are full of sht. They’re all full of sht. Tell me one f*cking sporting event in 2024 that even comes within 100,000 miles of what we did at the Sphere.”
UFC 306 was headlined by a bantamweight championship clash, featuring Sean O’Malley defending his 135-pound title against Merab Dvalishvili. By the end of the event, a new bantamweight champion was crowned as Dvalishvili defeated the “Suga” show via unanimous decision.
The night also showcased a women’s flyweight title fight, where Valentina Shevchenko delivered a dominant performance. “Bullet” secured a unanimous decision victory over Alexa Grasso in their trilogy bout.
