Former world champion Antonio Tarver stated that WBA, WBO, and WBC heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk deservedly won his rematch against Tyson Fury.
“Usyk threw cleaner and more effective punches. Even though Fury fought much better than in the first fight, I still had Usyk winning. And I’m a fan of Tyson Fury.
Great judging, 116-112. Tyson Fury fought a much better fight, but Usyk still won more rounds. I think that’s how we can summarize this fight. What’s next for them? Usyk did everything he could do. I would not be surprised if he announces the end of his career,” said Tarver.
Recall that on December 21, Usyk defeated Fury in a rematch by unanimous decision of judges (116-112, 116-112, 116-112).
