Martin Bakole thinks he’s got what it takes to knock out Oleksandr Usyk. The heavyweight contender has made a bold claim about the undefeated Ukrainian champion.

Usyk has been untouchable in the pro ranks for 12 years. He’s racked up 23 wins, beating tough opponents like Derek Chisora, Daniel Dubois, and Anthony Joshua twice. He’s even got two wins over Tyson Fury. Usyk’s skills are impressive – he’s got ring smarts, athleticism, heart, and determination. He’s also a southpaw, which makes him tricky to fight.

But Bakole isn’t intimidated. He told iFL TV that he’s the man to end Usyk’s streak.

“Me and my coaches have been telling people this a long time. People know the only people who can give Usyk problems now, not just give him problems but knock him out is Martin Bakole.”

Bakole says he’s got inside knowledge. He claims Usyk’s manager has praised him after seeing him spar with the champ.

“Usyk’s manager has been live on Sky, he came behind my camera on Sky and said this guy is a future world champion ’cause he saw me in the UK sparring Usyk, Usyk knows himself and his team, they know Martin Bakole’s a beast.”

The heavyweight contender doesn’t lack confidence. He’s got an aggressive mindset when he steps in the ring.

“As soon as I jump in the ring I don’t care who you are or what you’re doing, I want to take your head off.”

Bakole’s not just talk. He recently knocked out American prospect Jared Anderson, which turned some heads. Now, he’s got a fight lined up with Ajagba. If he wins that, he could be in line to challenge IBF champ Daniel Dubois.

Bakole’s also called out Anthony Joshua. He’s aiming high and thinks he’s got the goods to shake up the heavyweight division. Time will tell if he can back up his big talk against the division’s elite.
