Lopes and Rodriguez Set to Clash in UFC Mexico City Showdown

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico, on Sat., March 29, 2025, with an all-action featherweight headliner between Top 5 title contenders on ESPN.

Diego Lopes will face Yair Rodriguez, according to the Home of Fight.

Lopes (26-6) comes in as the winner of five straight fights, which includes his unanimous decision victory over former featherweight title challenger, Brian Ortega, at UFC 306 last September. As for Rodriguez (19-5, 1 NC), he is no stranger to 145-pound title fights and will be looking to bounce back from his submission loss to “T-City” during the promotion’s last fight card in Mexico City in early 2024.
