MMA fighter Luis Claudio attempted to secure a leglock against his opponent Yavuna Ntxala at FMS Fight Night 2 on October 29. However, the move backfired, resulting in Claudio submitting himself.
In the world of professional fighting, we have witnessed knockouts from slams and slips. And on rare occasions, we have even witnessed double knockouts. But it’s something entirely different to witness an MMA fighter forcing themselves to tap out, as was the case here.
The bizarre finish occurred in the early stages of the first round. Claudio managed to entangle his legs with N’Chara and nearly executed a calf slicer. Claudio ended up on his chest, attempting a leglock. However, N’Chara successfully maneuvered his way out, leaving Claudio trapped in his own submission hold. Unable to break free, Claudio had no choice but to tap out, essentially tapping himself out.
N’Tchala, who now boasts 10 career MMA wins, celebrated his victory by jumping to the top of the cage and making a “Wakanda Forever” gesture to the crowd. Prior to this win, ‘Panther’ had achieved an impressive streak of nine consecutive wins before it was interrupted by Yazid Choshaneh in a match under the UAE Warriors banner. This victory over Claudio marks N’Tchala’s first win of 2023.
With this loss, Luis Claudio’s MMA record stands at 4-3-1. After starting his career with two straight wins, Claudio has alternated between wins and losses in his last five fights.
