Midnight Mania!Next up is Belal because “Leon’s opinion doesn’t matter.”

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

In the world of UFC, welterweight champion Leon Edwards is not interested in a rematch with Belal Muhammad. The two fought in March 2021, with Edwards dominating the first round. However, an eye poke early in the second round resulted in the bout being declared a “no contest.” Despite this, Edwards seems content with his early success, even though he had only 20 minutes left in the fight.

After defending his title against Colby Covington at UFC 296, Edwards expressed a desire to move up a weight class and pursue a more marketable superfight, rather than face Muhammad again. It is also possible that his team wants him to fight Gilbert Burns next, even though Muhammad defeated Burns in May.

Muhammad, who has an undefeated record in 10 fights, was considered the favorite in terms of ability, and a five-round victory over Durinho would have ensured his chance for a title shot. In response to being removed from Team Edwards, Muhammad stated that UFC CEO Dana White has assured him of another opportunity.

Muhammad also feels that Edwards’ lack of interest intimidates him.

Leon’s opinion doesn’t matter…his coach doesn’t matter…all I care about is Dana and he gave me the words…that’s all that matters…Next are us, and the fact that they are showing fear only gives me further confidence…you should be afraid

With Shavkat Rakhmonov’s ankle injury, there is no clear next opponent for Edwards’ title defense. Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev is interested in a superfight opportunity, but there are also numerous elite contenders in the lightweight division waiting for a chance at the title. While Muhammad’s actions seem reasonable, fighters have been denied opportunities for more marketable bouts in the past.

UFC 300 is approaching quickly.

Changes for the first UFC event of 2024:

People online are upset about Charles Oliveira’s belt promotion because traditionally Muay Thai does not award belts in Thailand, but many gyms in Brazil do. However, this is irrelevant for “Do Bronx.”

If the UFC doesn’t (rightfully) push Tony Ferguson into retirement, it seems inevitable that this matchup will take place. Or is it Jim Miller from UFC 300?

Shavkat Rakhmonov is gaining popularity in Kazakhstan and appears to have star potential.

On one hand, this was likely a foolish act that negatively impacted the person’s life. On the other hand, Jorge Masvidal made a good impression.

Sparring with Ilya Topria seems like a daunting task.

Professional wrestling legend Kurt Angle responds to a new meme.

Was he injured before the match, or did he just receive some powerful low kicks? It’s hard to tell for sure.

Shane Campbell’s UFC career may not have taken off, but “Shaolin” always had impressive stand-up skills.
