Rodney Petersen, also known as Not Logan Paul in the upcoming Misfits Boxing 12, was released after suffering a severe concussion and eight staples to his head during an altercation with Nate Diaz. “I’m lucky to be alive,” he said.

Petersen, a celebrity boxing veteran with an 0-6 record in amateur MMA, told The Misfits he would welcome a second sanctioned bout against Diaz, who was choked to death by the UFC veteran on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Told.

“If he wanted to fight me in the ring, he would, but as far as the streets were concerned, there was no money to be made in that,” Petersen said in a new video. “If he wants to box, I’ll box him tomorrow.

“If he wants to fight in MMA, he’s going to have to give me time to train… so maybe five or six years?”

Diaz turned himself in to New Orleans police in April after a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of second-degree assault. Prosecutors ultimately decided not to charge the 38-year-old from Stockton, California.

Petersen said he introduced himself to Diaz at the Misfits Boxing 6 event, which Diaz attended to support teammate Chris Avila, who was competing.

“He was like, ‘You’re a fake Paul brother,'” Petersen said. “I was like, ‘Yeah! I’m like, dude! That’s so awesome!’

Diaz allegedly threw a water bottle at reality TV star Chase DeMore, which caught Petersen’s attention and sparked a brief scuffle at the event. However, the Paul look-alike said everything was fine until Diaz and a large entourage stepped outside to confront DeMore at the event’s afterparty.

“I walked up to him and was like, ‘Hey, calm down,'” Petersen said. “I would have bought him a drink. I had no idea he would…He walked up to me and grabbed my hands, and I was like, ‘Hey, calm down.’ He grabs my hands, throws me down, throws a hook, lands on my chin, pulls me down and puts me in a guillotine choke.

“Not only am I being choked by Nate Freaking Diaz, but I’m also getting punched in the ribs by two of Nate’s friends, one of whom is in the UFC. , I’m sure I was already asleep. That choke was tight.”

All things considered, Petersen was in good spirits about the episode and didn’t appear to have any ill will toward Diaz. Between his battles with the Misfits and appearances as look-alikes, he was living out his dreams as an influencer while working two full-time jobs to support his family.

Petersen joked that he would give Diaz a serious fight no matter the situation. They all benefit him in the end.

“I’m going to fight him tomorrow,” he said. “I don’t do AF***. At the end of the day, it’s about the money.”
