Former heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua believes that Oleksandr Usyk is a skilled fighter. Joshua, who was previously set to fight Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight championship in 2021, faced Usyk instead and lost. However, Joshua appears to be making a comeback and is eyeing another shot at a world title.
To achieve this, Joshua will first have to defeat former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou. If successful, he may have a chance at competing for a major belt, as Fury and Usyk are set to fight for the undisputed world heavyweight championship next month.
Joshua believes it will be a competitive fight and hinted that he thinks Usyk has a good chance of winning. He also expressed his desire to face Fury in the ring, acknowledging that it would be a great fight for both the fans and himself.
Despite his preferences, Joshua stated that he is not emotionally invested in the outcomes of their fights, emphasizing the importance of the fighters’ well-being. He wishes the best of luck to both Fury and Usyk.
