Jailton Almeida rarely loses, but he did so for a good cause in Brazil last weekend.

On Saturday demo fight 18 in Salvador, Bahia, Almeida (20-2 MMA, 6-0 UFC) competed in a charity MMA bout that was a dream come true for Alvaro Borges.

Borges, an athlete with Down syndrome, managed to pull off an impressive performance, keeping his distance and attempting a spin kick before taking down the UFC heavyweight contender. He even mounted Almeida at one point and went for a triangle armbar from guard, resulting in Almeida tapping out.

Following his victory, Borges was awarded the championship belt and celebrated with Almeida and others inside the cage.

By winning this bout, Borges improved to 2-0 in charity exhibition matches, having previously defeated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach Pablo Passos, also by armbar, in demo fight 17 in July.

Almeida, 32, will be back in action on March 9th when he takes on Curtis Blaydes (17-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) at UFC 299. This fight could potentially involve a title as Almeida has notable wins over Derrick Lewis and Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the UFC.
