Former UFC fighter Kevin Lee has revealed that he is returning to MMA after announcing his retirement six months ago.
In a recent tweet, Lee expressed his intention to make a comeback to the sport, focusing on getting in the best shape of his life. However, he has not provided any specific details about his return, such as the timing, location, or opponent.
It remains uncertain whether Lee is still under contract with the UFC or if his relationship with the promotion was severed when he initially retired.
Lee, who made his MMA debut in 2012 and entered the UFC in 2014, holds a 9-2 record in his first 11 promotional fights. He headlined UFC 216 in 2017 but suffered a defeat to Tony Ferguson in an interim lightweight title bout, marking the beginning of a 2-5 stretch before his release.
Following his release, Lee secured a victory against Diego Sanchez under the Eagle FC banner in March 2022 and later returned to the UFC in 2023.
