Allegations Against Belal of Using Performance-Enhancing Drugs

Belal Muhammad was in exceptional shape for his career-defining battle, when he defeated Leon Edwards at UFC 304 and claimed the 170-pound title.

Colby Covington has cast doubt on Muhammad’s championship reign, alleging that his exceptional performance was due to the use of performance-enhancing steroids. Covington suggests that Muhammad’s time as champion will be short-lived and that he will struggle to attract a substantial audience or generate significant revenue.

While there are talks of Muhammad potentially facing the third-ranked contender, Shavkat Rakhmonov, later this year, Covington dismisses Rakhmonov’s chances of being a legitimate title challenger.

Covington, who has faced three unsuccessful attempts to win the welterweight title, is evidently frustrated by Muhammad’s rapid victory and subsequent championship victory.

As of now, Covington has not participated in any matches in 2024 and does not have any upcoming fights scheduled.
