Mercedes Mone, the AEW TBS Champion, responded to statements made by Jonathan Coachman, a former WWE personality, concerning her attitude and performance in AEW. Mone addressed Coachman’s comments in her recent publication, Mone Mag.
“I’ve been facing this kind of criticism for more than a decade, so I’m accustomed to it. However, I am somewhat frustrated by all these older men in the wrestling industry criticizing me,” Mone expressed in reaction to Coachman’s remarks.
Mone is gearing up to defend her championship against Dr. Britt Baker, DMD at AEW’s All In event on August 25 at Wembley Stadium. She secured the title after defeating Willow Nightingale in May and later clinched the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship in June.
