Even though Alex Pereira has had a strong performance, he is seen as the underdog in betting odds against four possible opponents. Pereira recently defended his light heavyweight title for the second time after a knockout win against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303. There is now talk about who Pereira might take on next and if he will move up to the heavyweight division to aim for a rare three-division title in UFC history. Despite his success, Pereira is not favored to win in potential matchups against UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, or former light heavyweight title challenger Magomed Ankalaev. The odds are against Pereira, making him the underdog in all these scenarios. However, in a potential third fight against Adesanya, Pereira has a 39% chance of winning. The next opponent for Pereira is still unknown, but there are talks about a possible matchup with Ankalaev. Even with his success in the light heavyweight class, Pereira is not seen as the likely winner in any of these future matchups according to current odds.
