After UFC 303 and 2024 PFL 6 concluded, the USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings went through some changes. The pound-for-pound rankings had a big shakeup after the UFC’s recent pay-per-view event as part of International Fight Week in Las Vegas.

In a surprising twist, Alex Pereira’s knockout win over Jiri Prochazka in their light heavyweight title rematch pushed him to the top of the P4P rankings. Jon Jones, who was previously at the No. 1 spot after winning the heavyweight title at UFC 285, was overtaken by Pereira because of his impressive four-fight winning streak, all against former light heavyweight champions.

Due to his lack of activity, Jones now sits at No. 3 behind lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. Additionally, fighters like Ian Machado Garry and Macy Chiasson also saw significant changes in the rankings due to their successful performances at the pay-per-view event.
