Alex Perez stays positive despite a significant injury at UFC Vegas 93. During the main event last Saturday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, the flyweight fighter suffered a defeat via TKO in the second round against Tatsuro Taira. Perez displayed immediate distress upon falling, prompting the fight referee to intervene. The exact nature and severity of the leg injury are currently undetermined, but Perez is set to undergo an MRI with hopes of a swift return to the ring.

In a social media post, Perez showcased his resolve to recover from the injury and commended his adversary and support team. His representatives mentioned that the MRI will be arranged once the swelling in his knee diminishes. A former UFC flyweight title contender at 32 years old, Perez has encountered various obstacles in the octagon, including a loss to Deiveson Figueiredo in November 2020. Notwithstanding these hurdles, Perez remains steadfast and is dedicated to staging a strong comeback.
