Many professional fighters retire and shift focus to new ventures, but Alfred Angulo took a different path.

Known as “Perro,” Angulo made his comeback after almost three years by stepping into the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships ring at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, showcasing his enduring fighting spirit.

In his bout against Jeremiah Riggs, the 41-year-old Angulo clinched a victory via a first-round knockout. The fight was intense as Riggs aggressively attacked with right hands, but Angulo patiently waited for his opening. Utilizing his boxing skills, Angulo landed a decisive right hand that sent Riggs to the canvas for the count.

Hailing from Mexicali, Mexico, Angulo boasts a professional record of 26 wins, 8 losses (21 KOs). He previously held the interim WBO junior middleweight title and faced notable opponents such as Peter Quillin, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, and Erislandi Lara.

According to Angulo’s promoter Nelson Lopez Jr., the boxer is eyeing a return to professional boxing in pursuit of significant opportunities.

Angulo joins a group of former professional boxers finding success in the bare-knuckle arena, with names like Austin Trout and Dat Nguyen holding titles in the BKFC.
