Amari Jones Secures Homecoming Win over Daniel Echeverria in Oakland

Amari Jones put on an impressive performance in his first professional boxing match in his hometown. The fight took place at the Marriott on Broadway in Oakland, California, where Jones faced off against Daniel Echeverria. Jones, aged 22, demonstrated his boxing prowess by adeptly switching stances and landing effective combinations throughout the match.

Throughout the fight, Jones managed to knock Echeverria down twice. The first knockdown came from a left hook to the body in the second round, followed by a left cross to the head in the third round. Referee Dan Stell made the decision to stop the fight at 1.39 of round three, much to the delight of the cheering audience. This victory marked Jones’ successful professional debut in his hometown.

Prior to this fight, Jones had already showcased his skills in matches headlined by Devin Haney. He holds a significant win over Armel Mbumba-Yassa and has received support from Bill Haney in his corner. With this latest win, Jones improved his impressive record to 13 wins with 12 knockouts.

Aside from Jones’ triumph, light heavyweight Suray Mahmutovic and rising star Dante Kirkman also emerged victorious on the exciting fight card. Mahmutovic secured a win over Anthony Hollaway via a unanimous decision, while Kirkman impressively defeated Miguel Soto-Garcia.

The event was co-promoted by Upper Cut Promotions and Lion’s Den Boxing Promotions, highlighting the promising talents in the world of boxing.
