Former middleweight legends Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen are gearing up for their third showdown in a boxing match happening on July 15 in Brazil, Silva’s home country, following their induction into the UFC Hall of Fame’s ‘Fight Wing’.

Silva, a past undisputed UFC middleweight champion, received an unexpected challenge from actor Terry Crews recently, who expressed interest in a boxing match in Brazil.

Sources reveal that Anderson Silva will be stepping into the ring against Chael Sonnen, a former WEC veteran and two-weight UFC title contender, with Sonnen confirming the upcoming bout on his social media platforms.

The event is slated to occur on July 15 in Sao Paulo and will be organized under the Spaten Fight Night promotion.

Specifics such as weight class, number of rounds, and whether the match will be considered professional or exhibition are yet to be disclosed by the organizers.

While Silva previously claimed victory over Sonnen with a submission at UFC 117 in 2010 and a TKO win at UFC 148 in a title fight rematch, the anticipation grows on who will come out on top in this trilogy battle between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen.
