Trainer Andre Rosier is confident that Sebastien Fundora, the WBC/WBO junior middleweight champion who recently triumphed over Tim Tzu, has what it takes to overcome Errol Spence in their potential upcoming bout.

Rozier recognizes the challenge of facing the 6-foot-5 “Towering Inferno” Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) following Spence’s defeat to Terrence Crawford last July. He believes it could be a tough physical comeback for Spence.

Despite the anticipated difficulty, the potential matchup between the 33-year-old Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) and Fundora promises an enticing spectacle with significant financial incentives, drawing the interest of PBC.

Rozier also envisions Terrence Crawford as a contender who could unravel Fundora’s strategies and secure a victory over him, raising questions about Crawford’s strategic approach and readiness to face a series involving Fundora, Spence, and Tszyu. Alternatively, Rozier suggests alternatives for Crawford like facing Jaron “Boots” Ennis or moving up to 168 for potential encounters with Canelo Alvarez.

The hesitation of Crawford to pursue these options hints at a possible lack of confidence in his ability to compete against larger and more robust fighters in the 168 weight class.

“Spence is in the process of recovering from a significant defeat and needs time to recuperate physically and mentally,” expressed trainer Andre Rosier, reflecting on Spence’s readiness for a potential clash with WBC/WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora.

“Given the mental toll of that devastating loss, the question remains if Spence can return to his former self. Fundora currently holds the titles and should be supported,” added Rosier.

On the topic of a potential rematch between Fundora and Tim Tzu, Rozier advocates for Tzu to have another opportunity to face Fundora immediately, unless there are significant financial gains in exploring other directions.

“Go back and face Fundora again, sticking to your original game plan from the start of the fight,” advised Rozier regarding Tzu’s potential rematch strategy.
