Former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua shared his thoughts on the upcoming match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. Based on his experience facing Usyk in 2021 and a rematch in 2022, Joshua believes Usyk will emerge victorious. Currently, Joshua is focused on his upcoming fight against UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. Despite being ahead of Usyk and Fury, Joshua predicts Usyk’s win in their potential bout. “I think Usyk will win,” commented Joshua in an interview with iFLTV.

Although Joshua has never fought Fury in the ring, he acknowledged the anticipation surrounding a potential matchup with the British boxer. While Joshua is familiar with Usyk’s fighting style, he admitted uncertainty about facing Fury. Despite this, Joshua openly admitted that he would likely choose Fury over Usyk in a hypothetical battle. Reflecting on the potential fight, Joshua said, “Logically it would probably be Fury,” considering the benefits it could bring for his career.

With two clear losses to Usyk in the past, Joshua is unlikely to pursue a third match against the Ukrainian. Currently focused on his fight with Ngannou, Joshua recognizes the challenge posed by the talented mixed martial artist. Though expected to win, Joshua acknowledges Ngannou’s skills and determination, emphasizing the importance of confidence in professional fights. As he prepares for the upcoming match, Joshua maintains a composed and self-assured demeanor, a crucial aspect in achieving victory in the competitive world of sports.
