After holding the AEW Tag Team Championship for 123 days, Big Bill and Ricky Starks lost the title to Sting and Darby Allin just before Sting’s final match at AEW Revolution. Following this defeat, they were knocked out in the tournament to crown new champions by Top Flight in the first round. During the match, Starks seemed to sustain an injury, but he later assured fans of his well-being. However, Starks has been absent from AEW since the Top Flight match, while Bill has aligned himself with Chris Jericho.

It appears that the partnership of Starks and Bill has come to an end, as per a report from Fightful Select. AEW insiders informed Sean Ross Sapp that there are no intentions to revive the team following their loss to Sting and Darby Allin. Both Starks and Bill are now focused on pursuing individual opportunities within the promotion.

Although the report clarifies their split, it does not address why Starks and Bill participated in the tournament or why their breakup was not acknowledged on-screen. Initially, Starks and Bill were reportedly slated to conquer Top Flight, but adjustments were made due to Starks’ injury.

Additionally, the report does not delve into why Bill has reappeared on AEW programming while Starks remains absent, despite denying any injuries. Speculations had surfaced about Starks’ AEW contract expiring, but this was refuted by Tony Khan during the Revolution post-show media discussion, where he dispelled the rumors.
