Bayley did not appear on the December 6 episode of WWE SmackDown, and the former champion has commented on her absence.

Friday’s show came just days after WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. There, Bayley was on the winning team in the Women’s WarGames match. Many fans noted that Bayley was absent from SmackDown, where the tournament for the Women’s United States Championship continued.

Speaking on the SmackDown LowDown, Bayley commented on her absence from the show.

“I don’t think anyone’s 100% coming out of WarGames,” Bayley said. “That match is so brutal. We all know the stakes we take, all the risks we take, just by joining the teams and being a part of it. I was in there from the very beginning, starting with Nia Jax, so it took a toll. But let’s just say I’m happy that I got this week off to rest. I get to rest, I get to study, I get to watch some Chelsea Green matches.”

Bayley went on to note that the tournament meant a lot to her, and she would be honored to be the inaugural Women’s United States Champion.
