As a UFC fighter, what do you do when your opponent bites you?

Flyweight fighter Andre “Mascot” Lima would get a tattoo.

Undefeated Lima was facing fellow undefeated fighter Igor Severino in a flyweight bout at UFC Fight Night on Saturday. I accidentally bit Lima’s bicep.

Severino was disqualified from the bout, and the UFC labeled Lima on social media as having a “one-night stand.” It was the first blow in UFC history.

MMA martial arts report Lima initially received a $25,000 bonus after the event, but when Lima got a tattoo commemorating his accomplishment, UFC president Dana White reportedly doubled the fighter’s bonus.

“I was going to give him 25,000. Now I’m giving him 50K. This is awesome!” White wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Story post.

in UFC post-fight interviewLima said through an interpreter that he expected Severino to try to take him down throughout the fight, but he didn’t expect how it would end.

“I was going to keep hurting him and keep touching him and end the fight, but as you can see, that’s why I yelled, ‘He bit me,'” Lima said. “Like Dana said, I’m here to be a champion. I’m here to win this division.”
