The Survivor Series Premium Live Event was a challenging night for Bronson Reed, who suffered a severe ankle injury after executing a splash from the top of the WarGames cage. Unfortunately, it seems that he will likely miss WrestleMania 41 due to this injury.
Dave Meltzer discussed Bronson Reed’s injury status during a segment on Wrestling Observer Radio. He mentioned that WWE insiders do not anticipate Reed’s return before WrestleMania 41 because he is expected to undergo foot surgery soon.
In addition to Bronson Reed’s situation, it was reported that Tonga Loa is expected to be sidelined for approximately 7-8 months following bicep surgery. These absences will have a significant impact on their respective storylines.
“Bronson Reed is having foot surgery. He’s going to be out for months. Yeah, long time. I asked somebody there, and they said that he’s not expected back for WrestleMania. Expected to be a long time. And Tonga Loa, I had figured seven, eight months out, that’s usually the thing for bicep surgery.”
Reed’s absence is already affecting WWE’s plans, prompting Drew McIntyre to return sooner than expected on Monday night to help bridge the gap. The company has also modified its post-holiday live events, with Reed initially set to face Seth Rollins in steel cage matches, which have now been altered.
Bronson Reed had been enjoying an incredible run recently, gaining acclaim as one of WWE’s most thrilling performers due to his immense physicality. Although this injury is a setback, fans remain hopeful about his recovery and look forward to his return, despite the disappointment of him missing WrestleMania 41 next year.
